Background on WEC (Water & Energy Cluster):

The Water, Environment and Climate (WEC) portfolio, based in Vienna, manages over 500 million USD supporting climate action, environmental protection, and conservation efforts aligned with global agreements like the Paris Agreement and SDGs.

The NDC Partnership:

A global coalition supporting countries in implementing their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) to combat climate change and build resilience. The Partnership facilitates collaboration among nearly 200 countries and institutions, with a Support Unit based in Washington DC and Bonn.

Partnership Action Fund (PAF):

Launched at COP26, the PAF supports developing countries in fast-tracking NDC implementation by bridging support gaps through pooled resources, enabling rapid response to countries' needs. As of March 2025, 72 member countries and one regional organization have requested support via PAF.

This is a retainer homebased position, preferably based in Bonn, Germany, but not mandatory.

The PAF Support Senior Associate will play a flexible and integral role in supporting the Partnership’s objectives, ensuring respectful treatment of all individuals, and responding sensitively to differences.
