Your new company

A global manufacturing organisation with over 100 years of history is seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to lead its ANZ operations. With a close-knit team and a strong presence across Australia and New Zealand, the business is preparing for an exciting office relocation in early 2026 and continues to expand its footprint in the region.

Your new role

Reporting to an overseas Operations Director, you will oversee all aspects of customer operations, logistics, and distribution across ANZ. This newly vacant role is critical to ensuring smooth product flow from international manufacturing hubs to local distributors. You will lead a team of four customer service professionals and work closely with 3PL providers, internal stakeholders, and global planning teams.

Key responsibilities

• Leading and mentoring a Melbourne-based customer service team
• Managing distribution and logistics operations across ANZ
• Coordinating import/export activities and ensuring compliance with international shipping standards
• Partnering with 3PL providers to oversee warehouse operations and inventory
• Liaising with global planning and operations teams to arrange shipments
• Supporting the sales team with product delivery and customer satisfaction
• Managing shipment schedules and distributor relationships
• Visiting the warehouse weekly
• Using Oracle and other enterprise systems to manage planning and reporting

What you\'ll need to succeed

• A bachelor\'s degree and 7+ years\' experience in supply chain or logistics, including international shipping and planning
• Strong leadership capabilities and experience managing cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle, GAINS, MEO preferred) and advanced Excel skills
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive, customer-focused mindset with the ability to work under pressure
• Assertive and confident in managing distributor relationships and shipment negotiations
• Comfortable working in a fully on-site role
