Job summary

DenizBank AG, a member of the DenizBank Financial Services Group and Emirates NBD, is seeking an experienced professional to join its Operational Risk team in Austria. The role covers identification, assessment, monitoring of risks, and collaboration with the ICS Officer to define risks.

You will prepare analyses and reports and contribute to risk management frameworks in a dynamic, international environment.

Qualifications

• A degree in economics, engineering or a relevant field from university or applied sciences.
• At least 6 years of professional experience in operational risk management at a European bank.
• Familiarity with national/international regulatory requirements (CRR, BWG, EBA).
• Excellent Excel skills; data analysis experience (R, SQL or VBA) would be advantageous.

• Identification, assessment and monitoring of operational risks across all business areas
• Conducting risk workshops to identify and assess risks
• Analysing and evaluating existing control measures for risk mitigation
• Collaborating with the Internal Control System (ICS) Officer to define and monitor key risks
• Recording, analysing and tracking reported risks and loss events
• Maintaining and further developing the loss database, as well as
• Preparing regular analyses and reports
• Conducting outsourcing risk assessments for outsourced activities
• Supporting the further development of the operational risk management framework
• Contributing to bank-wide risk reports (internal and external) and regulatory metrics
• Contributing to risk assessment as part of ICAAP, recovery planning and stress tests
• Data preparation and quality control for internal risk analyses and regulatory requirements
• Developing expertise in other types of risk (e.g. liquidity risk, market risk, etc.)

What you bring to the table:

• A degree in economics, engineering or a relevant field (from a university or university of applied sciences)
• At least 6 years professional experience in operational risk management at a European bank
• In-depth knowledge of the identification, assessment and management of operational risks
• Familiarity with national and international regulatory requirements (e.g. CRR, BWG, EBA)
• Excellent Excel skills; experience with data analysis (e.g. R, SQL or VBA) would be an advantage
• Analytical thinking, a structured approach to work and strong problem-solving skills

• Very good written and spoken German and English skills
