The Cori Institute of Molecular and Computational Metabolism in Graz seeks an Office Manager to support the Scientific Director and a growing international team. You will handle travel, hotels, onboarding and day-to-day administration in a fast-evolving, founding-stage environment.
Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of administrative experience, strong English and German, and solid MS Office skills. A hands-on, service‑oriented mindset is essential for shaping this new research community.
The Cori Institute of Molecular and Computational Metabolism is a newresearch institute of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, being establishedin Graz in close partnership with the University of Graz, the MedicalUniversity of Graz and Graz University of Technology. Its mission is todecode, model and engineer human metabolism and its interaction with theenvironment, bringing together experimental biology, medicine,computation, AI, engineering and translational thinking.
This is a rare opportunity to help build a scientific community from thevery beginning. The Cori is not yet a finished institution with fixedroutines, inherited habits and established hierarchies. It is a new placebeing created almost from scratch: its scientific culture, recruitmentstandards, internal processes, collaborations, meeting formats, trainingphilosophy, communication style and institutional identity are still beingshaped.
We are therefore looking for an exceptional

As an Office Manager, you will assist our Scientific Director and thegrowing scientific community with travel arrangements, hotel bookings andgeneral administration tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
