International Atomic Energy Agency seeks a Consultant for Technical Support in Nuclear Security of Nuclear Material and Associated Facilities. The role focuses on providing expertise for physical protection upgrades at reactors and contributing to responsible publications and training activities.

You will support the design and evaluation of nuclear security systems, develop training materials, and organize consultancy meetings and workshops with Member States.

Qualifikationen

• Advanced university degree in nuclear engineering, physics, chemistry or another relevant engineering field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in safety, security or nuclear engineering.
• Proven professional experience in nuclear security and related frameworks, facilities, and assessment activities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of nuclear power plant technologies worldwide.
• Expert knowledge of safety and security systems at nuclear power plants.
• Experience with national and international partners, preferably including the IAEA.
• Experience developing and finalizing technical documents in nuclear security.

Aufgaben

• Act as a technical specialist for projects of physical protection upgrades at reactors.
• Provide technical expertise for other physical protection upgrades at Member States projects.
• Develop technical specifications, work plans, and technical reports for physical protection upgrades.
• Procure and supply physical protection lab equipment for NSTDC and related projects.
• Contribute to capacity building through training, workshops, exercises and seminars.
• Develop training materials on nuclear security topics.
• Prepare work plans, logistics, and organization for consultancy and technical meetings.
