Qualifikationen

• University degree in nuclear science, engineering, emergency management, or a related technical or scientific field.
• A minimum of five years' experience in nuclear or radiological emergency preparedness, with emphasis on planning and execution of emergency exercises.
• Working knowledge of IAEA Safety Standards on Preparedness and Response for a Nuclear or Radiological Emergency.
• Knowledge of the IAEA's structure and functioning would be an asset.
• Excellent command of oral and written English. Knowledge of other official IAEA languages is an asset.

Aufgaben

• Provide expert advice in the implementation of the IEC's operational roles in response to nuclear and radiological incidents and emergencies.
• Evaluate information and feedback from responses and exercises to identify trends and areas for improvement of the IAEA's international response arrangements.
• Prepare and conduct activities related to the preparation, conduct and evaluation of nuclear and radiological emergency response exercises, including the development of relevant documentation and training.
• Contribute technical expertise for the preparation of the CAM report and design a methodology to collect feedback from Member States regarding CAM recommendations.
• Provide relevant expertise to the IEC and participate in meetings, workshops, trainings and exercises, as required.
