Overview

Newly created position with a growing mining services company. Brisbane based with national travel. Provide leadership across 5 explosives manufacturing plants.

The company

Enaex Australia is a global leader in the production and delivery of industrial-grade ammonium nitrate and rock fragmentation services. With over 20 years of experience in Australia's mining sector, Enaex delivers innovative blasting solutions with a strong focus on safety and environmental sustainability. The Australia head office is based in Brisbane, and the company provides blasting solutions across the country.

The opportunity

Enaex has five emulsion manufacturing plants spread across Australia. Three of those plants are Major Hazard Facilities. Each facility has a Plant Manager, and production has been growing in line with our business expansion. The National Manufacturing Manager will provide effective leadership, direction and planning across the facilities to ensure cost-effective production whilst driving continuous improvement initiatives to meet customer requirements, achieve business targets and drive operational excellence.

Travel across Australia will be a requirement of the position, you would be visiting regional locations engaging with stakeholders and getting to know the plants and people.

Experience required

• Engineering or similar tertiary qualifications
• Process risk training/experience – Ideally G2 Implementation of risk management but the qualification is not essential.
• 15 years + experience in manufacturing within industrial industries (Mining, Processing, Energy or Chemicals)
• Multi Project Leadership skills, including experience working effectively and collaboratively with engineering and maintenance teams.
• In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
• Strong knowledge of dangerous goods and explosives legislation
• Proven ability to manage multiple assets and lead teams.
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
• Ability to step out of the day to day and develop strategies for scenario planning.
• Significant experience in the management of MHF facilities would also be highly advantageous.
