The Institute of Molecular Biotechnology (IMBA) in Vienna invites applications for a Master’s Student / Research Intern in Computational Biology and Theoretical Modeling in the de Groot Lab. You will develop Bayesian methods to compare single-cell datasets and study cell fate decisions during early development.

This purely theoretical/computational role is a paid MSc position with a monthly gross salary of EUR 1,090, paid 14 times per year.

Qualifikationen

• MSc student or research intern with a strong theoretical or quantitative background.
• Experience in scientific programming (Python/R/Julia/C++ is a plus).

• Develop Bayesian methods to compare single-cell datasets with noise modelling.
• Study cell fate decisions during early development using computational approaches.
• Collaborate with experimental groups at the Vienna BioCenter for validation.
