Join a leading mining operator as a high-impact Mine Site Manager, overseeing operations across two open-cut sites in Queensland’s Bowen Basin. Following a recent acquisition and the appointment of a new Executive Leadership Team, the business is in a strong growth phase. This is a prime opportunity for a strategic, technically minded leader to take charge of key operations and build a pathway to executive leadership within a forward-moving company.

Your new role
Take full accountability for operational performance, safety, and strategic delivery across two open-cut mining sites. You’ll lead and develop site teams, drive production efficiency, and embed a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring both sites meet operational targets while positioning the business for long-term success. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for a driven leader ready to step up.

• Lead and support site personnel through your leadership team
• Drive performance and cost efficiency across people, equipment, and processes
• Collaborate closely with Technical Services, Geology, Maintenance, Safety & Contractors
• Manage key contracts (e.g., road works) and ensure operational alignment across departments
• Deliver on mine plans with a focus on precision and execution

About You

• Mining Engineer or similar, ideally with a Technical Services background
• Proven leadership experience in open-cut coal environments
• Dragline operational experience highly regarded
• Commercially astute, strategic thinker with strong stakeholder engagement skills
• Polished, pragmatic and outcome-focused, earns respect rather than seeks popularity
• Site Safety Cert desirable (or willingness to obtain)
• Someone who sees opportunity where others see obstacles
• A leader ready to make bold moves and leave a lasting mark
