We are leaders in acoustic solutions based on MEMS speakers. Since 2018, we have been enabling our customers to bring new revolutionary audio products to market. USound achieves this through radical miniaturization, power reduction, and increased production efficiency.

We’re looking to connect with MEMS, acoustics, or mechanical engineers with a focus on 3D modelling, FEM simulation, and computational acoustics. In this position, you will be part of developing the innovative USound MEMS technology, optimizing the acoustic performance of the core “engine” of a MEMS microspeaker.

Responsibilities

• Product development of MEMS for miniature loudspeakers and related acoustic applications.
• Development of new MEMS designs and concepts using SolidWorks and Comsol Multiphysics.
• Optimizing MEMS and product performance through computational acoustics approaches.
• Investigation of piezo-mechanics in acoustic applications.
• Analysis of current MEMS products and future designs regarding non-linear behavior in collaboration with the R&D team.
• Characterization of MEMS devices with Laser-Doppler Vibrometer or overseeing characterization activities.
• Research of new materials and processes to enhance product performance.

Experience and Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of industry experience.
• Fluency in English (at least B2 level).
• Experience with CAD/CAM design and simulation tools such as Matlab, Comsol Multiphysics, and SolidWorks or similar.
• Knowledge of acoustics, FEM, or semiconductor processes is a plus.
• Creative thinking and interest in new technologies to advance USound’s technology.
