PROFACTOR GmbH in Steyr seeks a Mechatronics Engineer / Automation Technician for industrial plants. You will design optical systems, run feasibility studies, and develop software for tailored automation solutions.

You will commission systems on-site and with customers, while collaborating in a dynamic team and leveraging flexible work options. You should hold a relevant degree, know C++, C#, Python, and possibly PLCs, with strong German and English skills, and be prepared to travel in the DACH

Qualifikationen

• Completed technical education in mechatronics, automation, physics/chemistry, computer science, or similar.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, Python (PLC knowledge desirable).
• Very good German and good English skills.
• Willingness to travel up to ~25% (DACH region) and drive license B.

Aufgaben

• Design optical systems using standard components and contribute ideas for custom solutions.
• Conduct preliminary studies and feasibility analyses with lab setups and present results.
• Create system software, parameterize systems, and program solutions for customer requests.
• Commission and optimize inspection systems at company sites and customers’ locations.
• Interact with customers during acceptance tests and training to gain practical insights.
• Collaborate with a team to share knowledge and contribute to collective success.
