Comet Group, a leading Swiss technology company, is seeking a Mechanical Team Lead in the Plasma Control Technologies division at the Flamattsite. For 75+ years, Comet has driven curiosity to innovate safer, more sustainable products used in memory chips and touch screens.

You will lead a team of mechanical engineers, shaping the architecture and design of RF power products, coordinating cross-functional work, and driving quality, reliability and manufacturability across projects.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline to guide high-tech design.
• 8+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development, including leadership roles in a high-tech environment.
• Strong expertise in thermal management, structural analysis and vibration within product development.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD and PLM systems with familiarity of semiconductor equipment and RF/vacuum tech.
• Outstanding leadership, coaching and mentoring skills with a hands-on, collaborative mindset; fluent in English (German is an advantage).

• Lead, coach and develop a team of mechanical engineers responsible for RF power products used in semiconductor plasma processing.
• Drive the mechanical architecture and design to ensure performance, manufacturability, reliability and compliance.
• Coordinate development activities across projects with milestones, risk assessments and FMEAs.
• Lead technical problem solving and root cause analysis with cross-functional teams (Electrical, RF, Manufacturing, Quality, PM).
• Continuously improve engineering processes, testing methods and team capabilities while contributing to roadmaps.

In the Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division, we manufacture specialized components that are required for the precise control of plasma processes and are used in the production of memory chips or touch screens for sensors, smartphones or tablets.

What you will do:

• Lead, coach and develop a team of mechanical engineers responsible for RF power products used in the semiconductor plasma processing
• Drive the mechanical architecture and design of innovative, high quality products, ensuring performance, manufacturability, reliability and compliance
• Coordinate mechanical development activities across projects, ensuring milestones, deliverables, risk assessments and FMEAs are completed on time and to a high standard
• Lead technical problem-solving, root cause analysis, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Electrical, RF, Manufacturing, Quality, and Product Management
• Continuously improve engineering processes, design methodologies, testing, and team capabilities while contributing to innovation and technology roadmaps

What you bring:

• Bachelor's ormaster’sdegree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline
• 8+years of experience in mechanical design and product development, including several years in a technical leadership role within a high-tech environment
• Strongexpertisein thermal management, structural analysis, vibration, reliabilityengineeringandDesign for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFM/DFA)
• Proficiencyin 3D CAD and PLM systems; experience with semiconductor equipment, RF systems, vacuumtechnologyorhigh-voltage equipment is an advantage
• Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills, combined with a hands-on, collaborative mindsetandexcellent problem-solving abilities; fluent in English, German is an advantage
