Zusammenfassung

Mercury Engineering in Vienna is seeking a dedicated Material Coordinator to manage project materials from receipt to issuance (including client-supplied items) and to maintain site tool and plant registers in support of construction activities.

You will collaborate with the T&P team, perform stock checks, data entry, and ensure safe handling, storage, and traceability of materials on site, while upholding HSE and quality standards. Strong organizational skills and teamwork are essential.

Qualifikationen

  • Experience in Material Control or Supply Chain within an Engineering, Procurement, or Construction environment.
  • Familiarity with Material Control or Supply Chain systems.
  • Knowledge of materials and related terminology.
  • Ability to efficiently fulfil field requests using available stock.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills for effective collaboration with site teams.
  • High attention to detail with strong planning, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive or confidential information appropriately.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn procurement and material control systems.

Aufgaben

  • Receive, unpack, count, weigh, measure, sort, identify, verify, and visually inspect incoming equipment, tools, and materials.
  • Operate a forklift to move, stack, load, or unload materials and equipment (if licensed).
  • Perform clerical tasks including data entry, stock checks, inventory counts, and filing.
  • Issue materials in accordance with job orders and project requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to proper material receiving procedures at the site.
  • Apply correct storage and preservation techniques for all materials.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient storage environment.
  • Utilise the company’s computer systems effectively for warehouse and inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant procedures and standards.
  • Minimise external hire of transport, plant, and equipment, and maintain accurate records.
  • Conduct stock reconciliation and ensure traceability of issued materials.
  • Monitor and manage minimum stock levels where applicable.
  • Record and account for excess or returned materials from the site.
  • Address delivery discrepancies and coordinate resolutions with relevant site personnel.
  • Uphold Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards in line with company policies.
  • Maintain quality standards in accordance with the company’s Quality Management System.
  • Follow detailed instructions and procedures, with supervision and resources available as needed.
  • Apply standard practices to analyse data and resolve routine issues.
  • Organise activities to meet defined schedules within established policies and procedures.
  • Identify and resolve routine issues with established solutions.
  • Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve teamwork, efficiency, and quality.
  • Perform additional duties as required in line with the role’s responsibilities.
