QIC is seeking a dynamic Manager, Talent Advisory to lead its high-performing Talent Advisory team and drive the evolution of recruitment practices across the business. In this pivotal role, you will transform QIC’s talent approach into a proactive, insights-led model underpinned by true business partnering. You will bring market intelligence, internal data, and a commercial mindset to deliver strategic talent outcomes that align with QIC’s business priorities.

Reporting to Head of Talent and Organisational Development, you’ll play a critical role in enhancing QIC’s Employment Value Proposition (EVP), elevating the experience for hiring managers and candidates, and positioning QIC competitively in the market for critical skills and specialist roles. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a progressive, sustainable talent function that is responsive to both internal needs and external market shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coach a high-performing Talent Advisory team;
  • Drive continuous improvement across talent processes and systems;
  • Build scalable proactive sourcing and market scanning strategies;
  • Deliver talent insights that inform EVP and workforce planning;
  • Enhance hiring manager capability through tools and training;
  • Manage preferred supplier agreements and third-party vendors;
  • Lead the development and delivery of the Early Careers program;
  • Champion continuous improvement of processes, system application and workflows;
  • Partner with P&C team to drive DEI and First Nations initiatives;
  • Elevate the organisation’s EVP and employer brand presence; and
  • Contribute to strategic projects and cyclical talent initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate

You are a commercially minded and strategic Talent Acquisition professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Your background includes leading internal recruitment or talent functions, ideally in complex or matrixed organisations. You combine data-led insights with human-centred design to improve hiring experiences, and you're energised by building trusted partnerships and influencing decision-makers.

Key Requirements

  • Experience leading internal recruitment or talent teams;
  • Skilled in talent pooling and proactive sourcing strategies;
  • Strong ability to use insights and data to influence;
  • Experience designing and leading early career (intern and grad) programs;
  • Experience optimising recruitment system usage and automation;
  • Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and Insights tools;
  • Confident stakeholder engagement and coaching skills;
  • Knowledge of employment and HR legislation;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; and
  • Tertiary qualification in HR or relevant field preferred.
