foodora in Austria is seeking a senior public affairs leader to develop and implement strategies that strengthen its operating space in the regulatory environment. You will work with internal teams to advance policy objectives and position foodora as a trusted partner.

The role requires 7–10 years in government, public affairs, or related fields, fluent German and English, and strong project management skills.

Reporting to the Head of Regional Public Affairs, the successful candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing foodora's public affairs strategy and campaigns to strengthen foodora's operating space within the broader public affairs/regulatory environment in Austria. Working collaboratively with various business functions in foodora, the successful candidate will be a key contributor in enhancing stakeholder relationships and positioning foodora as a trusted and responsible industry player.

Driving initiatives

Develop and implement strategies that advance foodora's public affairs and policy objectives, which may include drafting of position papers and participation in policy working groups.

Stakeholder management

Build and manage strong relationships with external stakeholders to strengthen foodora's positioning as a trusted partner, as well as with internal stakeholders to align the company's positions and actions.

Policy comms

Build and lead efficient policy campaigns in collaboration with the PR team, communicate foodora's policy positions externally.

Market and political/policy insights

Understand and communicate high-level market dynamics and political/policy developments, and their implications for the business, to internal stakeholders through regular reports and updates.

Risk mitigation

Identify public affairs/policy risks to the business early and collaborate with internal teams to address issues before they escalation.

Opportunity identification

Seek collaboration opportunities and foster strategic partnerships that advance our business and policy objectives.

Agency and cross-market collaboration

Work closely with external agencies and colleagues in other markets to support effective political/policy monitoring and implementation of successful strategies in Austria.

7 to 10 years of experience working in government, Public Affairs agencies, public affairs roles in the platform industry, or related fields

Strong knowledge of public policy and regulatory environments in Austria.

• Fluent in both German and English
• A self-starter with the ability to work independently and under pressure, in a fast-paced environment
• Possess strong judgment and project management skills
• Must be able to collaborate and have a harmonious working relationship with diverse teams within the organization

For a full-time position (38.5 hours per week), we offer a gross annual salary starting at €70,000 (all-in), depending on your qualifications and experience.

On top of that, you will receive an equity package.
