About the Role and Your Team

As the Manager - Digital Projects, you will oversee the City of Playford’s digital projects, handling all aspects of project delivery including team management, budget oversight, scope definition, and schedule adherence. You will also drive high levels of stakeholder engagement and collaboration, guiding digital projects through their entire lifecycle. The Manager - Digital Projects will also develop and lead a team of professionals who provide digital project expertise and support to the organisation.

To thrive in this role, you will leverage your expertise in digital projects, leadership, and stakeholder engagement. You Will:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of digital projects, including planning, scoping, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and guide your team to innovate and solve problems.
• Manage risks, dependencies, and issues while ensuring clear documentation and resolution.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and project teams, including leading regular stand-ups and meetings.
• Drive team alignment with project management best practices and Council frameworks.
• Oversee project changes, contract variations, and ensure compliance with records management requirements.
• Support change management and produce high-quality documentation, reports, and updates.
• Be a forward-thinker who identifies opportunities for improvement and inspires your team to innovate and solve problems.

About You

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
• Project management certification from a recognised body (desirable).
• Extensive experience managing digital and technology projects end to end.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Experience leading project teams and managing staff performance.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver on organisational objectives.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to quality customer service.
• Confident problem-solving skills and the ability to proactively manage risks and issues.
