We’re seeking a Lead Draftsperson to take ownership of our SolidWorks system and lead the AWMA drafting function, ensuring the creation of high-quality designs and drawings that bring AWMA’s products to life.
The role can be worked primarily from home with regular visits to our head office in Cohuna (Northern Vic).
As AWMA’s Lead Draftsperson, you’ll be the go-to person for all things SolidWorks. This role is central to maintaining the quality, consistency, and efficiency of our drafting work. While our designers create 3D models and 2D drawings, you’ll provide leadership and support across both functions – focusing primarily on 2D detailing, drawing checks, and system oversight.
Objective:
To manage AWMA’s SolidWorks system and lead the drafting function by ensuring accuracy, consistency, and efficiency across all drafting outputs. The Lead Draftsperson will act as the central point of support for designers and drafters, providing final checks before material ordering, standardising drafting practices and libraries, and driving continuous training and onboarding to maintain high-quality outcomes and support business growth.
