Zusammenfassung

Jobgether seeks a Backend Team Lead (PHP) to establish and lead an internal engineering unit in a global, fully distributed setup. You will drive the migration from legacy systems to a modern, scalable platform, owning delivery, architecture, and security across high-performance gaming/fintech-like environments.

You will stay hands-on, mentoring engineers, aligning with software architecture and leadership, and ensuring robust, observable production systems while advancing a pragmatic team

Qualifikationen

• Extensive leadership experience in high-performance engineering teams.
• Expert PHP and Laravel, with refactoring for scalability and reliability.
• Proven migrations between systems and environments with risk mitigation.
• Strong relational DBs (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and Redis experience.
• REST/GraphQL API design, modern infra (Docker/Kubernetes), CI/CD.
• Event-driven architectures (Kafka/RabbitMQ) and observability (Prometheus/Grafana).
• Security practices for high-volume transactions; English communication.

Aufgaben

• Build and lead internal Backend Engineering team for platform migration and ownership.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain backend engineers; set standards for delivery and testing.
• Own PHP backend, ensure stability, security, scalability during migration.
• Translate long-term vision into scalable architecture with architects.
• Lead migration from legacy to modern internal architecture; manage risks.
• Drive backend delivery against roadmap; ensure priorities and initiatives are delivered.
• Ensure availability, resilience, fault tolerance and operational stability of systems.
• Hands-on coding leadership; ensure code quality and problem-solving.
• Promote CI/CD, testing, and modern engineering practices; AI tools in workflows.
