About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Lead Back End Developer to join our growing team working on our innovative SaaS platform in the Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) space. You'll be responsible for designing and delivering robust systems that help organizations keep their workers safe.

As our Lead Back End Developer, you’ll own the product and technical direction end-to-end — shaping the roadmap with leadership and customers and setting the delivery cadence. You’ll define engineering standards and ship outcomes (not just code).

Our platform helps companies manage compliance, incident reporting, risk assessments, and safety training - making workplaces safer through technology:

• What You'll Do:
• Design and architect scalable software solutions
• Lead development projects from conception to delivery
• Plan and prioritize development work across the team
• Write clean, maintainable code and establish best practices
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Drive technical decision-making and system architecture choices

You should:

• Have a unique blend of technical expertise and analytical mindset
• Be user-focused with strong problem-solving skills
• Achieve set targets as determined by the Head of Engineering and Director
• Be proactive in undertaking training to further develop knowledge
• Have a mature, can-do attitude, and the initiative to provide input and suggestions to improve Company policies, processes, work procedures, and services
• Be able to work independently in a responsible manner, whenever required
• Degree in Computer Science, Software/Computer Systems Engineering or similar
• Strong experience with C# and .NET development (5+ years)
• Solid SQL skills and database design experience
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Proven track record of designing and delivering complex systems
• Experience planning development work and managing technical teams

Highly Desirable Skills

• Experience with AI tooling and/or AI integrations
• Previous experience working in a product company
• WHS domain knowledge or experience in workplace safety
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architecture
