Zusammenfassung

Lonza in Visp seeks a Laboratory Technician to join the analytical Quality Control laboratory. You will perform routine analyses of biopharmaceuticals using HPLC and capillary electrophoresis (CE-SDS, icIEF) and support various projects with multiple detectors and RP/SEC methods.

The role offers GMP‑regulated experience, cross‑functional collaboration and opportunities to deepen expertise within a dynamic, international team.

Qualifikationen

• Apprenticeship as laboratory technician or equivalent.
• Hands-on HPLC experience preferred.
• Experience in GMP pharma/biotech environment is a plus.

• Perform analytical methods in line with SOPs, GMP and safety rules, especially HPLC analyses.
• Maintain quality guidelines and complete administrative tasks, including documenting results.
• Support laboratory maintenance and ensure a clean, organized workspace.
• Collaborate closely with shift workers.

Your primary responsibilities will revolve around conducting routine analysis of biopharmaceuticals using HPLC and capillary electrophoresis techniques. This role offers a lot of variety with many different projects and a wide variety of HPLC techniques (e.g. RP, SEC) and many different HPLC detectors (e.g. UV, fluorescence), as well as capillary electrophoresis (CE-SDS and icIEF).

What you’ll do

• perform analytical methods in line with SOPs, GMP and safety rules, specifically focusing on HPLC analyses
• adhere to quality guidelines and perform both practical laboratory work and essential administrative tasks, including detailing results and crafting work instructions.
• support laboratory maintenance (equipment responsibility) and ensure that the laboratory is clean and tidy
• maintain a close cooperation with shift workers

What we’re looking for

• Apprenticeship as laboratory technician, CTA, BSc in Chemistry /Biochemistry or similar education
• Hands‑on experience with HPLC is highly preferred
• Work experience in a GMP environment in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is a plus
• You are conscientious, structured and responsible and you are able to adjust in a flexible manner to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment
• Fluency in English, German is an additional advantage
