Jobbeschreibung

Aeolus Robotics inc. is seeking a Robotics Vision Engineer, who will join our vision team, which provides perception capabilities that power our robotic systems. You will contribute to a diverse range of projects covering the entire vision pipeline - from sensor drivers to high-level perception algorithms. This is an opportunity to work hands-on with real robots in lab settings and assist with deployments at customer sites.

Job responsibilities:

  • Debug and maintain existing vision system components.
  • Implement computer vision algorithms.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot robotic failures by analyzing logs and telemetry.
  • Develop annotation and support tools for fielding team.
  • Integrate deep learning models developed by our ML team.
  • Create accelerated implementations of algorithms when needed (e.g., GPU acceleration).

Experience / Qualifications:

  • MSc in Computer Science or equivalent (exceptional candidates with BSc will be considered).
  • Previous experience in robotics projects (academic or industrial) is a plus.
  • Good written and spoken English.

Mandatory requirements:

  • Proficiency in modern C++.
  • Solid computer science fundamentals.
  • Working knowledge of Git version control.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and systematic thinking.

Preferred requirements:

  • Familiarity with ROS1 or similar message-passing frameworks.
  • Experience with Python for scripting and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of computer vision libraries (OpenCV, PCL, etc.).
  • Background in computer vision principles and algorithms.
  • Experience with 3D geometry and mathematical concepts relevant to robotics.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and model integration.
