NXP Semiconductors in Austria is seeking a software professional to strengthen debugging capabilities for secure embedded microcontrollers based on RISC-V. You will collaborate across teams to specify, develop, test, verify and maintain debuggers and related tools.

You will gain expertise in trace and code coverage and interact with hardware and software groups to analyze and fix customer-reported issues while contributing to improvements in development and testing methodologies.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in electronics, applied mathematics, computer science or similar.
• Understanding of embedded software development tools, e.g., GDB or OpenOCD.
• Knowledge of microcontroller architecture know-how is essential.
• Programming skills in C/C++/Python languages.
• Team player with ability to communicate across domains, locations and cultures.
• Beneficial: Assembly programming, RISC-V JTAG interfacing and debug targets (FPGA), Trace and code-coverage, Rust programming.

Aufgaben

• Collaborate with senior colleagues on the complete life cycle specification/development/test/verification/documentation/maintenance of debuggers for secure embedded microcontrollers.
• Build up expertise for trace and code coverage in the context of secure embedded microcontrollers.
• Interact with internal HW and SW development teams (customers) to analyse/fix issues reported by customers or detected by tests.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of software development, quality, and testing methodologies.
