Here, you will be surrounded by like-minded people working daily on business requirements acquisition and delivering impactful data insights. You will develop data visualizations through scalable Looker dashboards. In addition, you will work with Data Engineers to extend current data sources.

As a Data Analyst/Scientist, you will…

  • work closely with our business users to understand their requirements and deliver quality data insights
  • analyse raw data sources and data transformation requirements to be able to communicate the Data Analytics dataset requirements to the Data Engineering team
  • perform ongoing research to explore new data science methodologies and algorithms
  • create and test scalable data analytics models
  • delivering new data visualizations to users in a useful and appealing way by creating scalable Looker dashboards on top of the newly developed data models
  • create and document functional and technical specifications
  • thrive with a consistent schedule of three office days per week, ensuring full-time office presence during the first 2-3 months to help you settle in smoothly.

Your Backpack – What to bring to the Valley:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
  • 0-1 years of experience in the Data Science / Analysis (BI tools experience).
  • Understanding of relational database principles and query performance tuning.
  • Strong skills in SQL (analytical functions) and good skills in Python.
  • Ability to proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve live data systems issues.
  • Strong organisational and critical thinking skills, strong attention to detail.
  • Be self-driven, and show the ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete or noisy data.
  • Working proficiency in English – both written and spoken.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with GCP environment and strong working knowledge of the platforms’ services
  • Experience working in large data warehouse environments (e.g., BigQuery)
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Looker)
  • Proven track record of delivering solutions to a production environment
