Description of the research activity:

The research will concentrate on exploring database solutions for processing and analyzing large datasets, with a particular focus on time-varying and time series data. This includes both theoretical studies and the design and development of efficient, scalable solutions such as index structures and query algorithms for selected analysis tasks like aggregation, anomaly detection, similarity search, and motif discovery. The work will emphasize system development and implementation within or on top of database management systems, as well as conducting experimental evaluations using real-world data and use cases. Additional research activities in the context of other projects on related topics may be defined by mutual agreement.
