About the Position

You are good with numbers, you enjoy taking on responsibility, and you are looking for a diverse finance environment, then you've come to the right place. Our three-person Finance Team in Vienna is responsible for accounting and controlling at Speedinvest, from the Austrian fund manager to our international entities. You will take ownership of specific areas of our accounting function and become an indispensable part of the team, with real impact on our processes and financials. This role is an excellent fit for students or professionals with experience in accounting or finance who are ready to make their mark in a dynamic, international startup environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Independently handling day-to-day accounting and booking records for our management companies (Austria, Germany, UK, France, UAE) in cooperation with local tax advisors
• Supporting the preparation of VAT returns as well as various financial reports and analyses
• Ongoing accounts and balance reconciliations as part of monthly and quarterly closing procedures
• Contributing to the preparation of annual financial statements in collaboration with external tax advisors
• Reviewing and posting travel expense reports as well as preparing payment runs and bank transfers
• Acting as a point of contact for internal and external partners (tax advisors, auditors, authorities)
• Actively contributing to the development and digitalization of existing accounting processes and the implementation of new tool

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in accounting, strong initiative, and the drive not just to get things done, but to make them better. What matters to us is that you enjoy working with numbers and that collaboration comes naturally to you.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field (e.g. HAK, HAS, WU, FH, bookkeeping certification, or similar)
• Initial relevant work experience in accounting, for example at a tax advisory firm or in a company's accounting department - you know how accounting works in practice
• Solid, hands‑on proficiency in BMD NTCS and confident use of Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Google Workspace
• Strong numerical aptitude, analytical mindset, and a precise, reliable working style
• Enthusiasm for accounting and a proactive attitude: you enjoy diving into accounting questions, think beyond the task at hand, and independently identify where action is needed
• Fluent German (written and spoken) and good English skills for communication within our international team
• Enthusiasm for a dynamic, fast‑paced, and entrepreneurially minded work environment

According to Austrian law we are required to state a minimum salary for this position. The expected minimum annual gross salary for this role, on a full-time basis is EUR 39,000.00. The salary will be a competitive package based on previous work experience, hence overpayment is possible.
