Job summary

PALFINGER is seeking an IT Project Manager in Austria to lead IT projects from analysis to go-live, coordinating between business units, IT teams, and external partners. The role focuses on delivering projects on time, on budget, and with high quality.

The ideal candidate has technical IT education, experience or interest in IT project management, and strong communication skills in German and English. Travel up to ~10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Completed technical education with IT focus.
• Experience in IT project management or interest in gaining experience in this area.
• Knowledge of IT system landscapes (networking, virtualization, security).
• Analytical thinking, organizational skills, and personal responsibility.
• Strong communication skills, team-oriented, good German and good English.
• Willingness to travel (~10%).

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and implement IT projects from analysis to go-live.
• Act as interface between business, IT, and external partners for smooth communication.
• Monitor and report project progress against time, cost, and quality targets.
• Support development of IT infrastructure and new tools/systems.
• Contribute to future-oriented digitalization initiatives within PALFINGER.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Planning, coordination and implementation of IT projects – from analysis and conception through to successful go-live
• Acting as the interface between business departments, IT teams and external partners to ensure efficient communication and smooth processes
• Monitoring and reporting on project progress, taking into account time, cost and quality targets
• Supporting the further development of the IT infrastructure and the introduction of new tools and systems
• Actively contributing to future-oriented digitalization initiatives within the company

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Completed technical education (HTL, University of Applied Sciences, University) with a focus on Information Technology, Business Informatics or comparable education
• Experience in IT project management or an interest in gaining experience in this area
• Knowledge of common IT system landscapes and, where applicable, expert knowledge (networking, virtualization, security, etc.)
• Analytical thinking, organizational skills and a high level of personal responsibility
• Strong communication skills, a team-oriented personality, good German and good
• English skills, as well as willingness to travel (~10%)

Minimum yearly gross salary according to the Austrian metal industry collective agreement is EUR 53.241,02 based on full-time employment. According to experience and qualification, we offer a market-conforming overpayment.
