AT&S IT Infrastructure – Storage & Backup Specialist role at the Leoben headquarters focuses on reliable backup and storage operations across our IT landscape. You will manage storage and backup platforms, support daily operations, and contribute to system optimization and documentation.

The position requires hands-on experience with Veeam B&R / Veeam ONE, enterprise storage (NetApp, EMC, HPE), plus strong Linux, VMware, and NFS/SMB knowledge, and fluent English.

Qualifikationen

• Completed education in IT or Computer Science.
• Proven experience in backup or storage administration.
• Strong knowledge of Veeam B&R and Veeam ONE.
• Experience with enterprise storage systems (EMC, NetApp, HPE).
• Good knowledge of NFS/SMB, VMware, and Linux.
• Fluency in English.
• Certifications related to storage/backup (Veeam, NetApp, EMC, HPE, Linux) are a plus.

Aufgaben

• Operate and maintain Veeam B&R, Veeam ONE, deduplication appliances, and HPE tape systems.
• Monitor daily backup processes and perform restores when needed.
• Keep documentation for configurations, procedures, and recovery workflows up to date.
• Support file-sharing services (NFS, SMB) and contribute to NetApp storage administration.
• Work closely with VMware and Linux teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Troubleshoot backup and storage issues and ensure timely recovery.
• Follow security and compliance requirements and contribute to regular recovery testing.
• Support lifecycle tasks such as system upgrades and decommissioning.

Profil

• Strong technical foundation and a hands-on mindset, ideally supported by formal training.
• Completed education in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in backup or storage administration.
• Solid skills with Veeam B&R, Veeam ONE, and enterprise storage systems (EMC, NetApp, HPE).
• Good knowledge of NFS/SMB, VMware, and Linux.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a collaborative approach.
• Fluency in English.
• Experience with cloud or hybrid storage, knowledge of compliance standards, and certifications (Veeam, NetApp, EMC, HPE, Linux).
