As an IT Security Compliance Analyst at Badger Meter, you will support the organization’s information security compliance efforts by ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, customer requirements, and industry frameworks. Key focus areas include: compliance activities, audit support, documentation maintenance, process improvements, and stakeholder collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain system and process controls aligned with ISO/IEC 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), PCI‑DSS, and SOC2.
- Ensure adherence to frameworks such as NIS2, UK Cyber Security and Resilience Bill, Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), Cyber Essentials, NIST SP800‑171, and the California Consumer Privacy Act.
- Prepare and support internal and external audits, including evidence collection, audit meetings, and remediation tracking.
- Maintain and update compliance documentation: policies, procedures, and audit artifacts.
- Support the security risk management program by identifying, documenting, and tracking risks related to systems, vendors, and business processes.
- Respond to security questionnaires and customer or regulatory inquiries in coordination with legal, sales, and business teams.
- Monitor regulatory changes and evaluate their impact on the organization.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of compliance processes, tools, and reporting.
- Enhance AI governance and compliance initiatives.
- Travel up to 10% as required.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business, or a related field.
- 3–4years of experience in information security, compliance, audit, or risk management.
- Relevant internships or entry‑level experience in compliance or IT security may be considered.
Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO27001, SOC2, PCI‑DSS).
- Experience supporting audits or compliance assessments.
- Familiarity with ISMS concepts and risk management practices.
- Exposure to AI governance and compliance.
- Professional IT security certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CCPA, or similar are a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
