Jobbeschreibung

It all starts with the mission: NVISO is here to protect European society from potentially devastating cyber attacks! This means we offer cyber security services to private and governmental organizations to help them better prepare for, prevent, detect and respond to cyber security incidents.

All of this is built on four fundamental values that define who we are: We are Proud, We Break Barriers, We Care and No BS!

Tasks

As a Technical Lead Manager (m/w/d) located in Austria, your role is to provide technical leadership across CEN (Cybersecurity Engineering), spanning capabilities across multiple solutions.

You act as the technical alignment point across silos, products and expert domains, ensuring that the different technical leads move in the same direction, apply consistent standards, and contribute to a coherent long‑term vision for CEN. You will work closely with delivery leadership, solution leadership and technical specialists to strengthen technical quality, standardization, service maturity, and innovation across the organization. You help build the foundations for long‑term delivery success by aligning expertise, identifying capability gaps, and ensuring that strategic technical choices are translated into scalable and pragmatic solutions.

Additionally, you will be involved in highly strategic customer engagements, especially the large, complex, or business‑critical projects where strong technical leadership, architectural oversight, and cross-domain expertise are required. In those situations, you act as a senior trusted advisor who can bring structure, direction, and credibility to difficult customer challenges.

Typical tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Acting as the technical alignment lead across CEN, with a focus on consistency and collaboration between different capabilities;
  • Coaching and guiding technical leads to ensure alignment in technical vision, service quality, implementation approaches, and architectural direction;
  • Driving standardization across products, offerings, methodologies, and technical delivery patterns where this creates clarity, quality, and scalability;
  • Supporting the evolution of CEN services and capabilities by identifying improvement opportunities, capability gaps, and strategic priorities;
  • Contributing to the definition of technical roadmaps and helping translate long‑term strategic objectives into actionable technical initiatives;
  • Serving as a senior technical authority for complex or high‑impact customer opportunities and engagements;
  • Contributing to scoping, pre‑sales, solution shaping and architectural direction for strategic projects;
  • Supporting teams in resolving difficult technical challenges that span multiple domains, products, or service boundaries;
  • Strengthening knowledge sharing across silos and enabling technical communities to collaborate more effectively;
  • Helping ensure that technical leads across different domains are aligned on priorities, principles and quality expectations;
  • Contributing to internal innovation and the maturation of strategic offerings within CEN;
  • Staying up to date with market trends, emerging technologies, and developments relevant to the CEN landscape and translating these into practical guidance for the organization.

You are passionate about cyber security, technical excellence, and building strong solutions in a pragmatic way. You enjoy working across teams, connecting people and expertise, shaping direction and helping others succeed technically.

Requirements
  • You hold citizenship in one of the 32 NATO member states or the Austrian citizenship.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field;
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in cyber security, with deep technical exposure across one or more relevant security domains;
  • Strong experience in technical leadership roles, architecture, or senior consulting roles in complex customer environments;
  • Broad understanding of cyber security services, architectures, and delivery models, ideally spanning multiple domains relevant to CSE and SOE;
  • Proven ability to align multiple technical stakeholders across teams, domains, or organizational boundaries;
  • Experience in complex consulting engagements, especially where technical depth and strategic stakeholder management are both required;
  • Ability to translate business needs and strategic objectives into pragmatic technical direction and architectural choices;
  • Strong affinity with service development, capability maturity, and the improvement of reusable delivery approaches;
  • Ability to work effectively in environments where multiple teams, priorities, and technical perspectives need to be brought together;
  • Excellent communication skills in English;
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to bring clarity to complex technical and organizational challenges.
Soft Skills
  • Being able to work independently and keep track of your priorities;
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills that enable effective collaboration across the organization;
  • A natural ability to connect people, teams, and ideas across silos;
  • Strong facilitation and influencing skills without relying on formal line authority;
  • Pragmatic, solution-oriented and able to balance strategic thinking with execution;
  • Confidence and credibility when interacting with senior technical stakeholders as well as customer decision‑makers;
  • A positive, team‑ and mission‑oriented attitude;
  • The ability to challenge constructively, align stakeholders and move technical discussions toward clear outcomes.
Benefits
  • A training budget of 10.000 EUR and 10 days training man days every 2 years;
  • A gross base salary range between 100.000 EUR – 130.000 EUR p.a.;
  • Working and learning from the best people in the European cyber security industry. We have multiple SANS Instructors working at NVISO, our staff has presented at popular hacking conferences (BlackHat, BruCON, OWASP, etc.) and all of our technical staff can acquire deep technical security certifications (GSE, GXPN, GREM, GCFA, OSCP, etc.);
  • An entrepreneurial and agile company, where you will be stimulated and supported in driving new initiatives (either through internal innovation or by improving our service offering), without losing sight of having fun!;
  • Regular team‑building and fun events throughout the year;
  • Our commitment to coach, counsel, and help you grow; each employee receives a personal coach within the team, whose role is to ensure your well‑being and helps you grow in your career!;
  • Flexible working hours, homeworking and the possibility to work from abroad;
  • Business Bike Leasing;
  • Klimaticket Ö;
  • 30 holidays;
  • Cool office in the center of Vienna.
