Job Description:
Join an international group focused on hydro projects, working in a dynamic environment. Reporting to the Group Insurance Director, the Insurance Legal Specialist will have the following key responsibilities:
- Liability Insurance Line Management: Renew and place global master general and professional liability policies annually. Coordinate local and project policies as needed. Collaborate with brokers, insurers, and consultants to ensure policies meet business needs. Manage complex global third-party liability claims, communicating strategies to maximize coverage.
- Cyber Insurance Line Management: Renew and place global cyber insurance policies annually. Collaborate with IT and internal teams to ensure coverage aligns with business needs. Lead cyber incident response for insurance matters.
- Risk Management: Analyze loss data, identify exposures, recommend solutions, and monitor compliance with insurance procedures.
- Contract Review: Review and negotiate customer insurance requirements in EPC contracts to ensure compliance with master insurance programs.
- M&A Support: Solicit quotes for reps and warranties insurance, analyze offers, and facilitate the process with M&A teams.
Qualification Requirements:
- Preferably a legal academic background, with a preference for common law.
- At least 10 years of experience in insurance companies, insurance departments of international companies, or law firms.
- Deep understanding of third-party liability insurance and global insurance programs.
- Ability to work in a global setting, including international travel on demand.
- Excellent communication skills in English; German is an advantage.
- Independent, precise, and problem-solving working style.
- Strong teamwork, communication skills, and commitment.
This is a fully remote position with potential business trips within the EU and US. Salary package ranges from 60,000 to 85,000 € plus MBO up to 15% and additional benefits. No people management responsibilities.
