Job Description:

This role involves working in an international environment focused on hydro projects. Reporting to the Group Insurance Director, the Insurance Legal Specialist will have key responsibilities including:

  1. Liability Insurance Line Management: Renew and place global master general and professional liability policies annually, coordinate local and project policies as needed, collaborate with brokers, insurers, and the team, and manage complex global third-party liability claims.
  2. Cyber Insurance Line Management: Renew and place global cyber insurance policies, oversee underwriting processes, and lead cyber incident response teams.
  3. Risk Management: Analyze loss data, identify exposures, recommend solutions, and monitor compliance with insurance procedures.
  4. Contract Review: Review and negotiate customer insurance requirements in EPC contracts.
  5. M&A Support: Solicit quotes for reps and warranties insurance, analyze offers, and facilitate processes as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Preferably a legal academic background, with common law preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in insurance, law firms, or insurance departments of international companies.
  • Deep understanding of third-party liability insurance, litigation, and insurance markets.
  • Ability to work globally, including international travel.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; German is an advantage.
  • Independent, precise, problem-solving skills, team-oriented, and globally focused.
Position Details:

Fully remote with potential business trips within the EU and US.

Salary: €60,000 - €85,000 + MBO up to 15% + benefits.
