Job Description:

An international group focused on hydro projects is seeking an Insurance Legal Specialist to report to the Group Insurance Director. The role involves managing liability and cyber insurance lines, risk management, contract review, and supporting M&A activities related to insurance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Liability Insurance Line Management: Renew and place global master general and professional liability policies, coordinate local and project policies, manage complex liability claims, and liaise with brokers, insurers, and consultants.
2. Cyber Insurance Line Management: Renew and place global cyber insurance policies, oversee underwriting, and lead the cyber incident response team.
3. Risk Management: Analyze loss data, identify exposures, recommend solutions, and monitor compliance with insurance procedures.
4. Contract Review: Review and negotiate customer insurance requirements in EPC contracts.
5. M&A Support: Solicit quotes, analyze offers, and facilitate reps and warranties insurance during mergers and acquisitions.

Qualifications:

• Preferably legal education, with a preference for common law background.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in insurance companies, international insurance departments, or law firms.
• Deep understanding of third-party liability insurance, litigation, and insurance markets.
• Ability to work globally, including international travel.
• Excellent English communication skills; German is a plus.
• Independent, precise, and problem-solving working style.
• Strong team spirit and commitment.

Additional Details:

Fully remote position with potential business trips within the EU and US. Salary: €60,000 - €85,000 + MBO up to 15% + benefits. No people management responsibilities.
