Job Title: Insurance Legal Specialist (Common Law) - Fully Remote Position, Eisenstadt

This position is within an international group focused on hydro projects, offering a fully remote work environment with potential business trips within the EU and US.

Responsibilities:
  1. Liability Insurance Line Management: Renew and place global master general and professional liability policies annually. Coordinate with brokers, insurers, and team members to ensure policies meet business needs. Manage complex global third-party liability claims, including communication strategies with defense teams and insurers.
  2. Cyber Insurance Line Management: Renew and place global cyber insurance policies annually. Collaborate with IT and internal teams, oversee underwriting, and lead the cyber incident response team.
  3. Risk Management: Analyze loss data, identify exposures, recommend solutions, and monitor compliance with insurance procedures.
  4. Contract Review: Review and negotiate customer insurance requirements in EPC contracts to ensure compliance with master insurance programs.
  5. M&A Support: Solicit quotes for reps and warranties insurance, analyze offers, and facilitate the process for M&A activities.
Qualifications:
  • Preferably a legal background with academic education (common law preferred).
  • At least 10 years of experience in an insurance company, insurance department of an international company, or law firm.
  • Deep understanding of third-party liability insurance, including global programs and litigation.
  • Ability to work globally and travel internationally as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; German language skills are an advantage.
  • Independent, precise, and problem-solving work style.
  • Strong team spirit, communication skills, and commitment.
Additional Details:

Salary package: 60,000 - 85,000 € + MBO up to 15% + benefits. No people management responsibilities.
