Zusammenfassung

Bybit Limited is seeking an experienced contracts lawyer based in Vienna, Austria, to draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts. The role requires strong knowledge of Austrian and EU law, and the ability to support multiple internal business units during negotiations.

The position is located in Austria, Vienna, and demands high integrity, discretion, and fluency in German and English.

Qualifikationen

  • A law degree and bar-admission or equivalent qualification.
  • 3+ years of legal practice, preferably in-house, regulator, or top law firm.
  • Strong knowledge of Austrian and EU contract and commercial law.

Aufgaben

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of contracts, including institutional, vendor, NDAs, service, technology, licensing, and partnerships.
  • Own the end-to-end contract lifecycle from intake to renewal and archiving.
  • Serve as primary contact for internal units (procurement, operations, tech, finance) during negotiations.
  • Ensure contracts comply with laws, internal policies, and governance.
  • Coordinate with external counsel for complex or multi-jurisdictional matters.
  • Develop and maintain a centralized contract management system to monitor obligations and risk.
  • Identify legal and commercial risks and suggest mitigation strategies.
  • Improve contract templates, playbooks, and processes to increase efficiency.
  • Provide training on contract terms and risk considerations to internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of contracts, including but not limited to institutional agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, service agreements, technology and licensing arrangements, and strategic partnerships.
  • Own the end-to-end contract lifecycle process, from intake, redlining, and approval workflows to execution, archiving, renewal, and termination management.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal business units (e.g., procurement, operations, tech, finance) to provide clear and timely legal support during commercial negotiations.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws, internal policies, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Coordinate with external counsel as necessary for complex negotiations or multi-jurisdictional matters.
  • Develop and maintain a centralized contract management system to monitor key obligations, renewal deadlines, and risk triggers.
  • Proactively identify legal and commercial risks in contracts and recommend effective mitigation strategies.
  • Support the continuous improvement of contract templates, playbooks, and processes to increase operational efficiency and consistency.
  • Provide training and guidance to relevant internal teams on contract terms and legal risk considerations
Requirements
  • A law degree (LLB, JD, Mag. iur., LL.M., or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 3 years of legal experience, preferably within an in-house legal team, regulatory authority, or reputable law firm
  • Strong understanding of Austrian and EU laws relating to international contract law, commercial law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience handling official legal requests such as court orders, or administrative inquiries.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced, regulated environment with high integrity and discretion.
  • This position is based in Austria, Vienna
