Frequentis, headquartered in Vienna, seeks an Information Security Officer to strengthen the Group Security team. You will support ISMS governance, drive security controls, and collaborate with international teams to promote a strong security culture.

The role requires 3+ years in information security, strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001, NIS2, PART-IS and CRA, and fluency in German and English. You will work closely with the CISO and stakeholders across IT, HR, Procurement, and Engineering.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in information security or information technology or equivalent qualifications.
• 3+ years of experience in information security; certifications are an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001, NIS2, PART-IS and the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).
• Interest in information security, and AI security risks/governance for secure, compliant use of AI.
• Excellent networking skills and ability to work in a highly international environment.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.

Job Introduction

We are seeking an Information Security Officer (ISO) to strengthen the Frequentis Group Security team. In this role, you will contribute to the protection of the organization's assets by supporting effective security governance and ensuring that the Information Security Management System (ISMS) achieves its objectives. Working in a small team closely with the Group CISO, you will build and maintain a group-wide network of security stakeholders and collaborate with international teams across the Frequentis Group, including Group IT, Human Resources, Procurement, Engineering & Development, Facility Management, Legal, and Customer Services. Together with these stakeholders, you will drive the implementation of information security controls and promote a strong security culture throughout the organization.

Key Tasks

• Operate and drive the continuous improvement of our group-wide Information Security Management System (ISMS) and perform adoption for compliance with current regulations (e.g. NIS2, CRA, PART-IS) and security trends (e.g. AI security governance).
• Assure security competence across the group by designing and delivering training and awareness initiatives that make information security tangible and engaging.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the Frequentis Group and guide them to ensure the effective implementation of security controls and security measures.
• Manage our audit program holistically and conduct internal system audits independently.
• Develop and maintain information security policies and standards in alignment with recognized frameworks and best practices.
• Facilitate information security risk assessments and threat assessments, providing the foundation for informed decision-making and implementation of effective counter measures.
• Provide expert advice to internal and external stakeholders on all matters related to information security and handle customer compliance inquiries.

Key Qualifications

• University degree in information security or information technology, or equivalent relevant qualifications and professional experience.
• More than 3 years of professional experience in the field of information security, certifications are an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of relevant security standards and regulatory requirements, including ISO/IEC 27001, NIS2, PART-IS and the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).
• Enthusiasm for information security, and ideally experience in maintaining an ISMS Good understanding of AI security risks and AI governance for ensuring the secure, responsible, and compliant use of AI technologies across the organization.
• Enjoy working in a highly international environment and excellent networking skills.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
