What do we need from you?
- Hold an NVQ Level 3 in an Electrical discipline or have completed an approved Apprenticeship.
- Possess a full driver’s license.
- Experience in Industrial Electrical & Control System Asset Installation.
- Experience in using and interpreting electrical schematics and other relevant technical information.
- Experience in installing & terminating multicores, ladder & tray work, conduit & trucking installations, control and SCADA installations.
- Have the ability to:
- Use and interpret electrical schematics, manuals, asset standards, and other technical information for installations and remedial works.
- Work in accordance with the company and customer safe systems of work and permit to work systems.
- Adapt and respond to unforeseen events appropriately.
- Plan and coordinate effectively without supervision.
- If not already known, a willingness to learn new skills such as:
- Electrical fitting activities on High Voltage switchgear, transformers, and associated equipment.
- Installation of control and protection equipment.
- Installation of earthing systems.
- Installation of outdoor equipment like bus bars, disconnectors, and switchgear.
- Maintenance of High Voltage equipment.
- Fault finding on Low and High Voltage equipment.
- Receiving high voltage documents.
- Supervision of movement of long objects in an open bar compound.
Additional Information
- You must possess a high degree of manual dexterity demonstrated through the use of hand tools.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions and be able to walk and stand on uneven ground.
- Ability to work at height or within confined spaces without restriction.
- Must live within the area advertised.
