Job Description:

We have a current opportunity for a Head of Supply Chain Management on a permanent basis.

Tasks:

1. You will actively participate in defining the material planning and ordering processes, taking into account key business conditions such as customer order lead time, supplier lead time, availability and reliability of bills of materials, etc.
2. You are responsible for ensuring the availability of materials and services on the required dates.
3. You understand market developments, identify threats, opportunities and technological trends, and regularly inform all affected areas in the company.
4. You will ensure that the organization has the necessary input and support on supply chain issues (budget preparation, ERP maintenance, plant targets, reporting, projects, supplier issues, etc.).
5. You will be responsible for managing the selection and appointment of new suppliers as well as managing procurement activities related to new contracts or changes to existing contracts.
6. You promote initiatives to improve the costs and efficiency of the materials, components, investments, and services used.
7. You ensure that the right amount and content of technical and financial information is available in all tendering and procurement processes and that the development of the procurement base is consistent with the company's objectives and strategic actions.
8. You have successfully completed a university degree or have an equivalent academic degree in engineering, economics, or business administration.
9. You have several years of professional experience in supply chain management with a proven track record and management experience in a medium-sized, international company, preferably in the mechanical engineering sector.
10. You are a proactive person who is constantly looking for potential for improvement through product and/or supplier changes, with strong communication and negotiation skills.
11. You are characterized by a mixture of practical personality with strategic vision and strong leadership qualities and act confidently as a team player in a matrix organization.
12. You have business-fluent German and English skills.
13. You are willing to travel nationally and internationally and to work in an international environment with people from different cultures and nationalities.
14. You are experienced in using common Office applications and SAP, ideally supplemented by knowledge of PowerBI.
