About this role

As our Head of Strategic Accounts, you will lead a team of currently 3 people focused on managing, expanding, and attracting the biggest chains for our Local brand, Lieferando. You will play a key role in shaping our strategic approach, onboarding new partners, and ensuring our existing partners thrive.

Your interpersonal skills will be vital in this position. As a natural leader, you can effectively coach your team members, successfully onboarding them and supporting them in a range of account management activities. You will work closely with Regional Managers, Country Management, and cross-functional teams to deliver results while championing the needs of our partners.


These are some of the key ingredients to the role:
  • Lead our HQ-level engagement with strategic partners and major chain accounts
  • Support, coach, and develop your team to achieve shared goals
  • Negotiate and sign country-level agreements with key accounts
  • Act as a trusted advisor to national chains, developing long-term relationships
  • Collaborate with internal teams to meet partner needs (e.g. invoicing, reporting, analytics, co-branding)
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to guide your strategy
  • Drive performance through joint business plans, reviews, and optimisation efforts
  • Support budgeting and forecasting in partnership with country leadership
  • Facilitate collaboration across departments and act as a key escalation point
  • Represent the voice of the customer, ensuring chain partners receive excellent service
What will you bring to the table?
  • Experience in sales, with a strong background in key account management
  • A collaborative and empathetic leader with team management experience
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Strong communicator in both German and English (written and spoken)
  • Proactive and adaptable, you thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments
  • Experience navigating complex organisations and managing stakeholder expectations
  • A background in business, economics, or a related field is a plus
