Job summary

Lam Research in Villach, Austria is seeking a seasoned leader to head the Advanced Technologies Team, shaping data science, AI/ML, and equipment intelligence initiatives for semiconductor spin-clean tools. You’ll define the strategic roadmap and collaborate across engineering, product management, and process teams to drive innovation and value.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in a technical discipline (Data Science, CS, Engineering, Applied Math).
• 8+ years of experience in Data Science, ML, AI, analytics, software engineering, or equipment intelligence.
• Proven experience leading technical teams and programs.
• Strong understanding of ML, data engineering, big data architectures, predictive analytics, and intelligent systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Advanced Technologies Team driving Data Science, AI/ML, and Equipment Intelligence for semiconductor spin-clean tools.
• Define and execute the team’s strategic roadmap aligning analytics with business objectives, product strategy, and Industry 4.0.
• Oversee development, deployment, and lifecycle management of ML models and predictive maintenance solutions to improve performance and customer value.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, product management, process engineering, and key account technology teams to identify opportunities and accelerate innovation.
• Communicate technical strategies, business value, and program progress to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Manage team performance, workforce planning, and talent development to build a high-performing organization.
