Tech Incubator in St. Gallen/Zurich, Switzerland is assembling a founding team and seeking a visionary Clinical Microbiologist to lead our Pathogen-to-Prescription validation.

You will ensure that our 24-hour Match-to-Bedside workflow is biologically and clinically sound by interpreting phagograms and genomic matches generated by our AI engine for personalized phage cocktails in Swiss Magistral Preparation.

Qualifikationen

• PhD or MD in Clinical Microbiology, Infectious Diseases, or a related field.
• Experience in a Swiss clinical laboratory is a major plus.
• Strong ability to communicate with clinicians and regulators.
• Experience working in a hybrid Swiss clinical setting is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Interpret phagograms and genomic matches generated by our AI engine to validate personalized phage cocktails.
• Serve as clinical liaison with Swissmedic and hospital lab directors to standardize the 24-hour workflow.
• Oversee QC for synthetic phage 'recipes' and ensure sterility/endotoxin profiles meet ICU standards.
• Explain a Synthetic Phage Match to hospital pharmacists and biohackers with clarity.

PathoMatch AI is an early-stage biotech startup building an AI-driven platform that connects pathogen genomes with the most effective biologic treatments - starting with phages and continuing with fungi and mycoviruses.

Our goal is to tackle antibiotic resistance through precision biologics and machine learning, guided by the One Health principle that connects human, animal, and environmental health.

We are assembling a founding team with complementary strengths, and looking for a Clinical Microbiologist.

Why This Role Matters

You are a visionary Clinical Microbiologist to lead our Pathogen-to-Prescription validation. You will be the clinical brain ensuring that our 24-hour "Match-to-Bedside" promise is biologically and clinically sound.

• Clinical Validation: Interpret "Phagograms" and genomic matches generated by our AI engine to approve personalized phage cocktails for Swiss "Magistral Preparation.
• Regulatory Interface: Act as our clinical liaison with Swissmedic and hospital lab directors to standardize the 24-hour matching workflow.
• Bio-Logistics Oversight: Oversee the QC (Quality Control) for synthetic phage "recipes" and ensure the sterility/endotoxin profiles meet ICU standards.
• The Credentials: PhD or MD in Clinical Microbiology, Infectious Diseases, or a related field. Experience in a Swiss clinical laboratory is a major plus.
• The Modernist: You aren't satisfied with 72-hour antibiotic susceptibility tests. You want to use NGS (Next Gen Sequencing) and AI to find answers in minutes.
• The Communicator: You can explain a "Synthetic Phage Match" to a skeptical hospital pharmacist and a high-net-worth biohacker with equal clarity.
