Overview

Are you a high-performing sales professional who thrives on hitting targets, closing deals, and delivering exceptional guest experiences? We’re a growing hospitality group behind Southbank Beer Garden, South Beach, The Beaumont, and Birdees — a diverse portfolio of venues ranging from standalone premium function spaces to Brisbane's biggest party playgrounds. We are looking for a Group, Sales, Events & Functions Manager to drive function and event revenue across the group. This role is ideal for a go-getter who knows how to build relationships, fill calendars, and deliver results. You will lead a team and collaborate with a Head Office team to achieve goals. The successful candidate will take ownership of the role, with potential for large growth on top of the established business. The package includes a base salary and a sales-based commission/incentive structure, as well as the opportunity to lead in a fun and relaxed team environment.

About the role
  • Own the full sales cycle for private and corporate events across multiple venues
  • Drive proactive outreach, lead generation, and new business development
  • Respond quickly to enquiries and convert leads into confirmed bookings
  • Work to monthly and quarterly revenue targets with uncapped earning potential
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, agents, and community networks
  • Collaborate with marketing, venue managers, and operational teams for seamless delivery
About you
  • Proven track record in sales — ideally in events, functions, or hospitality
  • Target-driven, self-motivated, and commercially minded
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Ability to multitask across different venues and styles (casual to premium)
  • Comfortable working autonomously while leading and inspiring junior staff
  • Experience using CRM tools and event management platforms is a bonus
