Octapharma Austria’s Vienna site seeks a Group Expert QCIO to lead cross-functional QC initiatives and coordinate analytical method development, validation, and technology transfer across development projects. You will liaise with QC, R&D, and local teams to ensure robust quality control and compliance in a fast-moving environment.

The role requires strong analytical expertise, project leadership, and the ability to build relationships across global stakeholders.

Competenze

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
• Experience with analytical methods and method validation in a GMP-regulated environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and sites.

As a Group Expert QCIO, you will play a key role representing Group Quality Control (QC) in projects involving new pipeline products, the optimization of licensed products, technology transfers and continuous improvements. Working closely with stakeholders from QC, R&D and Method Validation, you will coordinate critical analytical activities and ensure successful collaboration across functions and sites. This position is ideal for someone with a strong analytical background who enjoys leading projects, building relationships and bringing people together to achieve common goals.

This is a temporary position based in Vienna, starting as soon as possible and running until 30.04.2027.

Your Main Tasks And Responsibilities

• Drive and coordinate innovation and improvement projects within Group QC
• Act as the key link between project teams, analytical experts, Group QC Method Validation and local QC organisations

• Represent Group QC in cross-functional project teams and provide quality control expertise

Your expertise and ideal skill set

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry or a related scientific discipline
• Experience with analytical methods and method validation in a GMP-regulated environment
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and sites
• Experience of coordinating projects and driving activities to completion
• Ability to work independently and navigate a global organisation with multiple stakeholders
• Fluency in German and English

The minimum gross salary according to the collective agreement (chemical industry) is EUR 4,355.55 based on 38 hours per week (full-time). As we strive to offer a salary that reflects your individual profile and qualifications, there is a willingness to pay above the minimum salary.
