Jobgether is seeking a Backend Engineer (Billing) for a partner company in Switzerland. You will design and ship the foundational billing domain and public APIs, building pricing engines and revenue recovery workflows in a high-impact fintech environment.

You will work primarily in Go, own core services, write automated tests, and participate in architecture decisions that shape Billing 2.0 for scalable, reliable invoicing and payment flows.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Proficient in Go; willingness to work with Go.
• Experience writing automated tests (unit/integration/e2e).
• Strong knowledge of high-load system design.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and messaging/streaming tech.
• Familiarity with Kafka, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines is advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Design and ship the foundational Products & Prices domain model and public APIs from the ground up.
• Build high-precision volume and graduated pricing engines for complex multi-tier enterprise billing.
• Design resilient billing services with minimal dependencies and single points of failure.
• Lead the automated payment retry engine across invoices to improve revenue recovery.
• Develop reliable, scalable backend services for high-load environments.
• Contribute to Billing 2.0 platform architecture, standards, and practices.
• Write and maintain comprehensive automated tests across unit, integration, functional, and end-to-end levels.
• Participate in code reviews, metrics, alerts, and continuous improvement of reliability.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, QA, and domain experts to deliver end-to-end billing capabilities.
• Help build a modern billing infrastructure focused on performance, reliability, and operational excellence.
