Job summary

ABB's Machine Automation division seeks a specialist for export control and customs compliance in an international environment. You will perform export control reviews, manage licenses, and help develop guidelines and processes, ensuring audit-ready documentation across global operations.

Fluent German and good English, strong organization, and experience with MS Office are required. On-site with up to 10 home-office days per month, ABB offers professional growth and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of export control and trade compliance.
• Structured, careful, and well-organized way of working.
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Good communication skills and interest in working with different functions.
• Proficiency in MS Office; SAP and GTS knowledge is an advantage.
• Experience with documentation and administrative processes is a plus.
• Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Perform export control reviews of business transactions to ensure compliance with national, European, and international regulations.
• Manage export control licenses and support license administration.
• Contribute to the development of internal guidelines, work instructions, and processes in export control and customs.
• Prepare analyses, reports, and documentation for internal audits, management, and external authorities.
• Participate in cross-functional projects to optimize export control and customs processes.
• Support the customs team in preparing import- and export-related documents and statistics, and maintain master data and records.
