Job summary

Hirschmann Automotive is seeking a senior procurement leader to drive global indirect-material sourcing, supplier management, and cost-optimization strategies across international plants. You will lead cross-border teams and shape the procurement roadmap in a fast-paced automotive environment.

The role requires strong German and English communication, deep procurement know-how, and a proven ability to negotiate contracts while aligning with environmental and TCO principles.

Qualifications

• Completed technical training or a technical degree.
• Several years of professional experience in strategic procurement, ideally in an international industrial or automotive setting.
• In-depth knowledge of supplier management and global procurement processes.
• Experience leading international teams.
• Excellent written and spoken German and English skills.
• Negotiation skills and the ability to assert oneself.
• Analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good IT skills and proficiency with SAP; experience with S4Hana is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the global procurement of indirect materials in accordance with the principles of total cost of ownership.
• Providing technical and disciplinary leadership to the on-site procurement team, as well as functional leadership to the international procurement organization.
• Development and implementation of a global procurement strategy for indirect materials and services.
• Ensuring compliance with and the continuous improvement of procurement processes and standards.
• Identification and implementation of cost-saving and optimization opportunities on a global scale.
• Strategic supplier management, including the selection, evaluation, and development of suppliers.
• Conducting international price and contract negotiations.
• Analysis of procurement markets and conducting benchmarks.
• Close collaboration with international plants and departments.
• Supporting investment projects and ensuring a sustainable procurement strategy.
