Seekda, a leading hospitality technology platform within Aspire Software and Valsoft Corporation, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team. You will lead the monthly close, consolidate balance sheets, manage AP/AR, and ensure VAT compliance in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

This role offers a fully remote work arrangement, cross-functional collaboration across international teams, and opportunities to automate processes and strengthen internal controls to support business growth.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, ideally within a technology or SaaS environment.
• To be able to speak, read and write German (mandatory).
• Professional accounting or bookkeeping qualification is considered an asset.
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Highly organized self-starter who takes ownership and enjoys solving complex problems.
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new systems and processes.

Aufgaben

• Lead monthly and year-end close activities, including preparing complex journal entries and supporting accounting analyses.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Oversee daily Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions, ensuring invoices and credit notes are processed accurately and on time.
• Ensure supplier invoices are entered correctly into the ERP system and issued in a timely manner.
• Manage vendor communications regarding outstanding invoices and maintain ownership of cost accruals for monthly P&L reviews.
• Review and approve supplier payments, bank transfers, and payment batches prepared by Accounts Payable.
• Reconcile employee expense reports, corporate credit cards, invoices, and intercompany transactions.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, ensuring financial processes comply with company policies and best practices.
• Prepare and validate monthly financial KPIs and management reports.
• Prepare monthly VAT returns in compliance with local regulatory requirements.
• Support external audits and statutory compliance activities.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors by providing required financial information and responding to queries.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and management reporting to support business decisions.
• Analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying key variances and trends.
• Prepare monthly customer churn analysis and support reporting initiatives.

What You'll Do
