About the role

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced and versatile General Manager Insurance Builder to join the team at ML Builders' in Adelaide, SA. As the General Manager Insurance Builder, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the insurance building division, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of high-quality construction services to our valued clients.

ML Builders Adelaide office is a new Division supported by our Western Australian operations with a structure of 45 professional insurance industry superstars.

What you'll be doing

Providing strong leadership and strategic vision to the insurance building team

Developing and implementing operational plans and policies to drive continuous improvement and innovation

Fostering collaborative working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders, Our General management team and board of directors

Overseeing the tendering process and securing new business opportunities

Ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety

Monitoring and analysing financial performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and optimising resource allocation

Continuously seeking to enhance the customer experience and identify new ways to add value

Championing a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards

What we're looking for

Extensive experience (8+ years) in a senior management role within the construction or insurance building industry

Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and delivering successful construction projects

Excellent project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Strong financial acumen and the ability to drive operational and commercial efficiency

Exceptional communication and stakeholder management capabilities

Thorough understanding of relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices

Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
