The position:The task of the professorship is the (basic and application-oriented) research of psychotherapy and in particular its efficacy and mode of action, as well as the further development of psychotherapeutic methods (with a behavioral, systemic or humanistic approach). The research profile should be empirically oriented and be compatible with the Faculty's thematic areas in terms of content and methodology. The professorship should strengthen the fields of activity of the faculty's research, teaching and practice outpatient unit through research in the field of psychotherapy and contribute to a comprehensive range of services. Substantial participation and collaboration in the organization of psychotherapy training at the University of Vienna are part of the professorship's remit. The professorship therefore combines activities in psychotherapeutic research, teaching/training and practice.
