WU is currently inviting applications for the position of a full professor [1] of Operations Research Foundations at the Department of Finance Accounting and Statistics. Candidates are expected to have established an international reputation as an outstanding researcher in their field. Depending on the candidate’s academic credentials, the employment contract can be concluded either as a permanent employment contract or as a fixed-term employment contract with the option of a permanent extension. We are particularly interested in candidates working in the fields of stochastic and robust optimization, simulation-based methods, machine learning techniques in operations research or stochastic control. The research portfolio of the ideal candidate comprises high-level methodological contributions as well as applied research on real world problems in business, economics or related fields.
