g2 Recruitment is seeking an experienced freelance Project Manager to lead construction delivery of a hyperscale data centre campus in Vienna. You will oversee groundworks through to handover, coordinating civils, MEP, and electrical scopes across multiple contractors on-site.

Strong track record delivering large-scale data centre or mission-critical projects, plus PMI/PRINCE2-style credentials, are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Proven track record delivering large-scale data centre or mission-critical construction projects.
• Strong background in MEP-heavy construction delivery with HV infrastructure knowledge.
• Experience managing multiple contractors and subcontractors on a live site.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced hyperscale build environment with strict timelines.
• Right to work as freelancer in Austria or EU.
• Experience with hyperscaler self-build programmes and recognised PM qualifications.

Aufgaben

• Manage day-to-day delivery of the data centre construction programme across civils, MEP, and electrical scopes.
• Own the project programme, budget, and risk register; report progress to client and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with HV substation, energisation, and commissioning leads to ensure timely handover.
• Chair site progress meetings and manage interfaces between principal contractors and subcontractors.
• Ensure delivery complies with health & safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage client and stakeholder communications, including progress reporting and escalation of risks.
